How to create a static QR code for a link and check the download

Enter the full destination, choose PNG or SVG, preserve the clear border, and test the exported code before sharing or printing.

Open the tool

Prepare the exact destination first

Open the destination in your browser before generating a QR code. Copy the complete address, including https:// and any path or query parameters you intend to share. Remove accidental spaces or line breaks. The QR Code Generator encodes the text you enter; it does not check that a page exists, select the right business listing or correct a mistyped link. Start with a short address you control when possible. A person scanning the code will still need to reach the destination service.

Generate a reference code in the current tool

Open the QR Code Generator and put https://www.kervoni.com into Input. Select Calculate / convert. A code preview appears with Download PNG and Download SVG actions. The PNG export uses a 1024-pixel target width; SVG is the vector alternative for a design workflow that supports it. The interface has no custom colour, logo, size or error-correction controls. If you edit the input, the previous preview is cleared, so generate again before downloading the code for the revised address.

Understand what static means here

The destination text is encoded in the pattern itself. This tool does not provide a managed redirect, scan statistics, an editable campaign or a dynamic-code account. If the encoded address must change, generate a new code and replace the old artwork. If the page served at the same address changes, the code still contains that same address. The pattern has no scheduled expiry set by this utility, but an expired domain, deleted page, access restriction or broken destination can still make the intended journey fail.

Preserve the border and test the final placement

Keep the clear border around the symbol. A normal QR code needs a quiet zone four modules wide on every side; a module is one small square in the code, not a fixed number of print millimetres. This exporter already includes that margin. Do not crop it away or place lettering inside it. Scan the downloaded image, then scan the version placed in your final design at its intended size. Check the actual address displayed by the scanner before opening it, and inspect the resulting page.

Handle length, export and privacy limits

The tool accepts non-empty input up to 1,000 UTF-8 bytes, alongside the text field’s length cap. Non-ASCII characters may use multiple bytes, so 1,000 visible characters is not a reliable allowance. Shorter payloads can produce a less dense code, but there is no universal print-size guarantee. Use an appropriate export and test a proof with the intended phone and lighting. Generation happens locally without uploading the input. The destination you later open and any tracking parameters you include have their own data handling.
